Kioxia NAND Prices Up 70% as AI Demand Tightens Supply Through 2027
Kioxia forecasts 31x profit surge and 800B yen buyback amid 70% NAND price hikes. AI-driven supply crunch expected to persist through 2027, signaling sustained sector strength.
Woofun AI reports that Kioxia Holdings projects a net profit of 1.27 trillion yen for the July-September 2026 quarter, marking a 31-fold year-on-year increase. The firm attributes this growth to rising NAND flash memory demand fueled by AI data center investments. Kioxia has authorized a share repurchase program worth up to 800 billion yen, targeting 30 million shares, or 5.5% of issued stock, alongside a 3-for-1 stock split effective October 1.
Data center sales in the April-June quarter jumped over fivefold to 1.1747 trillion yen. With AI server requirements constraining supply, NAND product prices climbed approximately 70% last quarter. Kioxia anticipates this supply-demand imbalance will continue through 2027.
