Sygnum Integrates with Bancastato, Enabling Swiss Clients to Trade BTC, ETH, LTC, and SOL via Online Banking
Sygnum partners with Bancastato to embed regulated crypto trading into online banking, allowing Ticino residents to trade BTC, ETH, LTC, and SOL without separate exchange accounts.
Woofun AI reports that Zurich-based Sygnum Bank has integrated its regulated cryptocurrency services into the Bancastato online banking system. This integration enables clients in the Swiss canton of Ticino to buy, hold, and sell BTC, ETH, LTC, and SOL through Bancastato's web and mobile platforms without requiring a separate exchange account.
Bancastato becomes the first bank to offer cryptocurrency trading via Sygnum's API within an Avaloq software-as-a-service environment. Clients can place market orders based on asset quantity or dollar value, with Sygnum handling execution while Bancastato retains the client relationship and front-end experience. Sygnum noted its B2B platform serves over 25 banks, including Zuger Kantonalbank and Postfinance, delivering regulated digital asset services to more than one-third of the Swiss population.
