UniCredit Bitcoin ETF Holdings Drop 93.7% While Staked Ethereum Shares Double
Italy's UniCredit slashed IBIT exposure by over 93% and added a put option, while nearly doubling staked ETH ETF holdings and exiting Solana positions in Q2.
Woofun AI data shows that UniCredit, Italy's largest bank, significantly adjusted its cryptocurrency ETF portfolio during the second quarter. The institution reduced its iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) common stock holdings from 646,809 shares to 40,723 shares, representing a 93.7% decline.
Concurrently, IBIT call option holdings fell from 2,496,500 shares to 18,000 shares, a 99.3% decrease. A new IBIT put option covering 500,000 shares was added, though specific terms such as strike price and expiration remain undisclosed in the 13F filing. Conversely, holdings in the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust rose from 116,200 to 349,600 shares, nearly doubling. The bank also reduced Bitwise Solana Staked ETF holdings from 2,817 to 7 shares, while maintaining its XRP Trust position at 712,319 shares.
