NVIDIA Launches Alpamayo 2 Super for Autonomous Driving

Huang indicated that AI development is transitioning from software intelligence to robotics, with autonomous vehicles acting as a primary entry point. The model processes road environments to understand and infer complex scenarios, enabling action through reasoning. It serves as a core AI component for autonomous taxis, driverless trucks, shuttles, delivery vehicles, agricultural robots, and large-scale mobile robot systems. NVIDIA released the model for commercial use under the OpenMDW-1.1 license, permitting developers and enterprises to research, fine-tune, and deploy it. Huang emphasized that open models enhance the safety and reliability of autonomous driving systems.
