CLARITY Act Progress Expected in September as Galaxy Expands Institutional Staking Partnerships
Galaxy Digital CEO anticipates CLARITY Act movement in September despite legislative delays. The firm secures staking deals with BNY and Morgan Stanley, while launching OTC prediction markets and treasury tools.
Woofun AI reports that Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz indicated the CLARITY Act may advance in September, noting that recent bipartisan compromises arrived too late for immediate progress before the legislative break. He emphasized that even without the bill, SEC and CFTC leadership have committed to accelerating direct cryptocurrency regulations.
On the partnership front, Galaxy signed a multi-year agreement with BNY to co-develop digital asset infrastructure and staking support. Following its selection by BlackRock as an Ethereum validator, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management recently engaged Galaxy for staking services on its new digital asset ETP, alongside a referral program linking asset lending to spot crypto ETP shares.
Additionally, Galaxy launched an OTC prediction market, the GOFR on-chain financing product with nearly $10 million in loans, and the Galaxy Curator treasury tool integrated with Fireblocks and Morpho, serving over 100 institutional clients. Steve Van Roza joined the board of directors.
