Bitget Signs Agreement to Establish Entity in Bhutan's Gelephu Mindfulness City

Under this framework, Bitget will form a legal entity within Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) and initiate applications for financial service licenses regulated by the Gelephu Financial Services Office (GFSO). The partnership includes collaboration on operational workflows, regulatory compliance, and ecosystem growth. Bitget plans to progressively open local offices and hire regional staff to foster talent development. GMC, a special administrative region in southern Bhutan, is being developed as an international financial hub governed by the Financial Services Act of 2025. Jigdrel Singay, a board member of the Gelephu Mindfulness City Board, stated that partnering with Bitget introduces global expertise while enhancing local capabilities.
