Apple Intelligence Integrates Alibaba Tongyi Qwen for Enhanced Siri and Writing Tools

Apple Intelligence now supports Alibaba's Tongyi Qwen model, enabling deeper Siri responses and native text/image generation across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS devices.

Woofun AI reports that Apple Intelligence has integrated the Tongyi Qwen model from Alibaba to enhance functionality on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS. Users who opt-in allow Siri to leverage Qwen for in-depth analysis of photos and documents, while writing tools can generate text or images based on descriptions without switching apps. This integration follows Apple Intelligence's first registration as a generative AI service in China on July 15. Baidu AI capabilities are also being incorporated, marking the official rollout of Apple's AI localization strategy in the Chinese market.
