The integration allows the browser-based agent to utilize Skills, plugins, and connectors for reading web pages, clicking buttons, and filling forms, though local file access and active computer control still require a connection to Claude Desktop. Previously expanded to web and mobile in July, Cowork now functions as a unified cross-device agent rather than an isolated desktop tool. Access is currently available to Max and Team users, with Pro rollout scheduled for the coming weeks and Enterprise requiring administrator enablement.
