Even if it’s just internal bravado that leaked, it lands as pure ego. AI will reshape a ton of work, sure, but the idea that one company ends up as the sole private entity on Earth while everything else becomes government is fantasy. People will still need food delivered, rides, buildings built, energy produced, and a million other things that don’t vanish just because Claude gets smarter.

It also screams the exact kind of overconfident destiny talk that makes regulators, partners, and the public side-eye you hard.

Confidence is good. Talking like you’re destined to be the last company standing just makes you look ridiculous and invites unnecessary heat.

Anthropic’s own people already called the claim nonsense. Stick to that lane, ship the models, talk real capabilities, keep the safety mission tight. Leave the “only company left in the world” monologues in the group chat.
