Woofun AI reports that an alliance comprising the Bitcoin Policy Institute and over 40 organizations is urging leading AI laboratories to provide trusted access to their most advanced models for qualified open-source security defenders. The coalition argues that Bitcoin and digital asset developers face increasingly complex AI-driven cyber threats, while legitimate security research is often impeded by restrictions on cutting-edge models.

Signatories such as Block, Coinbase, Strategy, MARA, Galaxy, BitGo, Brink, OpenSats, Chaincode Labs, Spiral, Trezor, and Unchained are requesting early access to advanced cybersecurity models, sufficient hash rate, secure research environments, and direct communication channels with AI lab security teams. The open letter states: "Defenders need cutting-edge technology; please give them a fair head start."
