Woofun AI reports that Zeus Wallet disabled its infrastructure following a cybersecurity incident on Wednesday, with founder Evan Kaloudis asserting that customer funds remain secure. The self-custodial Bitcoin Lightning Network wallet is currently auditing its systems before any service restoration can occur.

The technical scope of the breach appears confined to internal operations, as no evidence suggests Lightning node software was compromised. Mitigation measures were implemented within hours of the incident's detection. Users whose Lightning Service Provider (LSP) channels were closed during the disruption will receive replacement channels once Zeus infrastructure resumes normal function.

Structurally, this event underscores the company's commitment to trusted execution environments, also known as enclaves, and the Validating Lightning Signer (VLS) project. This security focus follows a Monday announcement regarding the disabling of swaps after Boltz, a non-custodial Bitcoin swap service, halted operations. Boltz confirmed its platform would remain disabled until further notice.
