WOOFUN AI

Pentoshi is a highly visible crypto trader and analyst on Twitter, known for fast market calls and narrative-driven commentary. He also serves in a partnership role at Merit Circle and has a track record of backing multiple early-stage crypto projects, giving him both trading and project-selection influence.

He appears to make decisions through market structure, narrative strength, and relative momentum rather than long-term conviction holding. His style is flexible and high-beta, with an emphasis on liquidity, catalysts, and community attention.

Recent public commentary remains centered on trading and market interpretation, including a bullish technical view on Hyperliquid’s HYPE based on a cup-and-handle setup and key resistance levels. That fits his continued focus on short- to medium-term market narratives.

I was talking to a kol in the space and I asked why they don't trade stocks. They said "bc I can't bundle them" I said man, it's the biggest bull run in history tho. It's really not all that complicated. These things are going up 10-20-50x liquid in a PVE market. The reason they didn't want to talk about stocks is they were worried their cash cattle would leave for a greener pasture. "I have a great farm and our fnf group milks it daily"

Everyone has a different trading style, and not everyones trading style works well with person to person. I typically have two trades I take and I stick to them. Those trades are also heavily context dependent. For example, not really having traded crypto for the past year. Just like staying out in prev bear markets is bc of the context/macro trends. One is a defensive trade, other is reclaim at what I call historical supports. But the reclaim itself isnt as important to me as is the history of the spot. The defensive trade is at a htf spot with a sharp sell off that isn't looking for a trend reversal but a lower high. While the reclaim is typically an end to end trade. Core postions are a bit different in the fact that something i have conviction in. The core doesnt get touched, but I will trade around the core on a different brokerage in order to. Llower the effective cost average, or accumulate more shares. The core itself is a longer term belief where as 90% of what I trade means nothing to me at all. So there are both low time frame, and high time frames trades and beliefs. I will post some examples of the actual style with context. But again there are some things you just cant really describe. Like gut. There's a lot of thoughts and feelings that go into buying and selling that you can't put on paper.

There is so much more access to gambling on anything and everything these days where as crypto use to be the easiest outlet. Sports gambling, online casinos, prediction markets, trading cards, easier access to equities and soon easier access to private markets. All of this has actually taken away from crypto on top of the AI boom bc people have more choices. Not everyone wants to gamble on chain. There is now something for everyone, with ease of access. That has fractured some liquidity in this market

Things I think about for my overall portfolio is having both a wealth creation aspect, and a wealth preservation aspect. having a set target for overall volatility. Having orthogonal and convex bets. Smoothing the path of returns which has been a god send. Having my trading fees be zero Trying to use limit orders vs crossing the spread as often as possible. using tax aware strategies. Whether that be something like AQR to offset ordinary income, or PPLI to have tax free growth where you can wrap your assets inside for high turnover strategies allowing you to compound tax free. These all make a complete book and allow for max growth.

Qube is another place I like. They I believe have averaged closer to 30% returns per year, although a much shorter history. 2018-current. And annualized vol is around 12-16%. With little to no correlation to the market at essentially .2 beta. These are just some places I like personally. bc I have target vol and beta in mind for this. Statar is another great one, nat gas at around 20% per year. Again, completely independent of the market. These are more for non-correlated returns, orthogonal bets that can move and provide independent returns from the market that typically you can't reproduce yourself. So these buckets for investments have different goals then you're trading goals as true diversifiers. Where as having something that is correlated just ends up being the same bet you are already making in your trades for example. Also adding bets that have good convexity in stress events, but for the most part do nothing most the year helps although that is very small. A lot of really creative structures in terms of protecting yourself but still allowing yourself to play the game aggressively when you want. and then obviously there are a lot of tax strats you can implement. Like AQR strategies, PPLI to minimize your tax hits. The tax stuff I'll go into soon.

happy all time high day again (feels like a daily event) to stock bros. Over the last year I've seen so many comments of why people didn't want to buy stocks bc they were up too much. . In many cases many many multiples. But for the most part, the prices have been justified bc the earnings have justified the moves. We have record pace of growth in terms of earnings, on top of record earnings. The S&P rose the past few months, but forward EPS actually doubled the pace of that growth. So while prices keep hitting records, in some cases the forward multiple actually fell. The market as a whole is trading within its 10 year average. Not too bad.

Millennium is such an incredible fund. I know people will say, well it slightly underperforms the SPX in the average year as its at 12.5% annual post fees. It does, but the underlying numbers are whats important. They were created in 1989, and have had ONE negative year and that year was around -3%. While that year the index dropped 38%. The annualized vol of the index is around 15% while they are around 3%. So you are only giving up 2% returns for 75% less vol and have part of your portfolio that is smoothing the path of returns. For that part of the port that is less about risk taking. You don't have bad years, just consistent years in general. Which is great for the wealth preservation side. The risk management is incredible, this is a place that essentially fires teams for having 5% drawdown. There are so many ways to build different parts of your portfolio to get to the overall target volatility that you want.
