Wavebridge and BC Card Complete Stablecoin QR Payment PoC on Base

Woofun AI reports that Wavebridge and BC Card have finalized a proof of concept for stablecoin-based QR payments on the Base network. The trial allowed foreign tourists to pay using US dollar stablecoins from Base wallets at merchants accepting BC Card QR codes in South Korea, with transactions settling in won. The partners also validated on-chain asset return mechanisms for payment cancellations. Wavebridge intends to advance commercialization leveraging its VASP status approved by South Korea's Financial Intelligence Unit.
