Circle just became a real bank. 🏦
The OCC gave final approval for Circle to open a national trust bank, Circle National Trust, putting USDC's infrastructure under direct federal oversight for the first time.
It's the first stablecoin issuer to cross this line, beating Ripple and Paxos to the punch. Reserve management is coming next.
Stock popped ~14% on the news.
