A reminder to everyone who has taken a short position against SpaceX: remember what happened with Tesla.
Tesla went public in 2010 at $17 per share, equal to about $1.13 after its 5-for-1 and 3-for-1 stock splits.
At $380.84 today, Tesla has gained roughly 33,500% since its IPO. A $10,000 investment would now be worth approximately $3.36 million.
Meanwhile, Tesla short sellers had accumulated around $64.5 billion in mark-to-market losses since the IPO as of March 2025. In 2020 alone, they lost over $40 billion.
