Woofun AI reports that SoftBank Group’s $40 billion bridge loan facility for OpenAI has incorporated 21 new lending institutions during the latest syndication phase. These entities collectively committed approximately $7 billion to the deal. First Abu Dhabi Bank, GIC of Singapore, and Standard Chartered Bank each subscribed to nearly $1 billion, while remaining capital was distributed among financial institutions in Europe, Japan, and Taiwan.
The residual $33 billion portion of the facility remains held by underwriters and senior lenders. Sources indicate this balance may face further syndication efforts in subsequent stages.
