SK Hynix Forecasts Robust AI Spending Beyond 2027 and HBM4E Mass Production
SK Hynix sees no slowdown in AI capex through 2027, with HBM shipments accelerating in H2. Long-term deals mitigate oversupply fears as HBM4E production targets 2027.
Woofun AI reports that SK Hynix indicated no signs of deceleration in artificial intelligence investments during an analyst conference call on July 29. The company projects AI infrastructure spending to remain strong past 2027, noting that long-term contracts, typically spanning five years, are unlikely to cause market oversupply. SK Hynix aims to reinforce its dominance in the high-bandwidth memory sector, expecting second-half shipment growth to exceed the first half despite Q2 average selling price pressures from product mix shifts. Mass production of HBM4E is scheduled to begin in 2027.
