Coursera Invests $100M in Andrew Ng's LearnVector for AI Tutoring

Coursera allocates $100M to acquire one-third of LearnVector, targeting AI tutors for professionals launching in 2027, with independent oversight.

Woofun AI reports that Coursera has committed $100 million to acquire approximately one-third stake in LearnVector, an AI education firm founded by Andrew Ng. The investment aims to develop adaptive AI tutoring systems that adjust content based on individual learning paces and ensure knowledge mastery through repetitive exercises.

Coursera will grant LearnVector access to its course library and global user base, focusing initially on working professionals and adults rather than K-12 or higher education sectors. The first products are scheduled for release in early 2027. Due to the related-party nature of the transaction involving Ng, who serves as Coursera’s co-founder and chairman, an independent board committee has been established to oversee the deal.
