The CFTC just filed a motion to dismiss CMEs lawsuit over crypto perpetual futures. Their main argument? CME lacks legal standing because they could easily just offer the products themselves instead of suing.

CME is basically mad that competitors like Kalshi got the green light first and the CFTC just told the biggest derivatives exchange in the world that their injury is entirely self inflicted.

You can't sue your way out of failing to innovate. Adapt or get left behind.
