We may have cracked aging. Everyone thought reversing aging in a living primate was decades away. Then a team at the Chinese Academy of Sciences engineered stem cells designed to resist aging and infused them into old monkeys every two weeks for 44 weeks. Bone density improved. Cognitive function improved. Even reproductive function showed signs of recovery. There’s a big caveat though... the study was small, early, and needs to be replicated. But if these results hold up, “anti-aging” could stop being a supplement-industry buzzword and become a legitimate medical field. What would you do with 20 extra healthy years?
