I don't think the $21 billion valuation or the $100 million check is really the news here.

What actually caught my attention is that Nasdaq is explicitly building NETs to preserve shareholder rights, voting included, which is a structurally different product than the tokenized stocks already trading on crypto exchanges today, most of which are synthetic price exposure with none of the actual ownership behind them.

They stood up an entire internal division, Digital Liquidity Networks, just six weeks before writing this check, and brought in Wells Fargo as their exclusive advisor on the deal.

That's the posture of an incumbent building real infrastructure.
