It’s also the idea of FDV.
How can any business forecast its terminal value and all of its shares it will ever issue?
And yet it is the norm in crypto. Market cap is ignored, while FDV seems inflated.
Perhaps that is one crucial tokenomics parameter that needs reimagination.
If humans are terrible at pricing in exponentials, how much harder is it to price in terminal total value?

- Privacy is still not the norm. It's absurd that we send a transaction and that exposes our full balance and history.
- Security still sucks. On most wallets you can still sign a transaction and lose everything. Or lose your keys and lose everything.
- UX is still terrible. Different chains, gas, seed phrases/ accounts, weird approvals
On the other hand, if you think crypto has not won, and in fact it's useless, here are a few obvious 1000x opportunities in the next 5 years:
- Prediction markets for everything, to surface useful information about the world
- Localised defi for every country and corner of the world
- Funding + gamification mechanisms for everything, be it via launchpads, NFTs, memes, to democratise value creation
