You don't get to 10,000 markets by launching order books one ticker at a time. Different markets need different execution at different stages. Order books create price discovery but are brutal to bootstrap across thousands of names. RFQ expands coverage fast but doesn't build true 24/7 markets. Most platforms pick one. Leveraged systems rarely fail where the risk models look. They fail at the assumption underneath. Here it's collateral. The desks are hedged fine: what they posted is pledged down a chain, and when funding seizes they can't reach their money. When a venue takes leverage, the real question is simple: under stress, is your collateral still yours, or is it quietly funding someone else's position? On a non-custodial exchange it's still yours. A contract you watch on-chain, not rehypothecated. You can't stop every stress event, but a funding shock can only reach collateral that entered the lending chain. On @hellotradeapp it never does.
