Google AI Visible Watermark Removal Feature Launches Across Gemini and Flow

Google enables removal of visible watermarks on AI-generated media while retaining invisible SynthID and C2PA metadata. The feature rolls out to Gemini, Flow, and specific models over the coming days.

Woofun AI reports that Google has enabled users to remove visible watermarks from AI-generated images, videos, and songs. Josh Woodward, vice president of Google Gemini, confirmed the feature applies to the Nano Banana, Omni, and Lyria models. The toggle will be available in Gemini and the Flow video editing tool, with search integration following shortly. Users can manage settings via 'Settings > Media Watermarks' as the rollout proceeds over the next few days. Invisible SynthID watermarks and C2PA metadata remain unaffected. Google also released the Credentio open-source library for local verification integration.
