Most people's assumption is that repetitive work is a waste of time, and you're better off just not doing it, under the assumption that if you don't do it, you'll have more time for non repetitive tasks
In my experience, however, that hasn't really felt like the case. What's happened more is - I save time on repetitive work, but then I spend the few hours I saved on pretty corrosive things, like endlessly scrolling social media - probably a net negative
There is a benefit to spending your time on focused, productive things, even if they are repetitive. It's cleansing to the brain. There are real long term benefits to that. Interesting to think about!
