They are doing "whatever it takes" to put a cap on longer term yields - if they do this while inflation is still well above 2% and artificially put a lid on rates isnt that lowering the real rate?
Also should be noted that the fed chair views interest rates of bonds as a market signal (which is now going to be artificially kept lower)
If the lesson from 2020 was dont fight the fed, I think the lesson for 2026 will be dont fight the tag team of the fed and the treasury
