The largest company by revenue today is Amazon at just over $700B in sales - the infrastructure required to support that much revenue, the number of business lines, it all just takes time to develop. A world of many businesses going from zero to 1T revenue in less than a decade is likely one of hyperinflation.
I assure you - if this level of disruption touches entrenched parts of the economy. The regulation guns will come out in force. Software/internet always has this sweet spot moment as it’s sort of confusing to legislators and the general public - you build in a new market before the wheels of friction get clamped on you.
It’s really, really sad that you think that man. Genuinely. A war between the U.S. and China would be horrific and set the world back decades. Great powers are only destined to fight in the absence of great leadership and strong deterrence. I really hope it’s just you and not the wider SF young crew that believe this ‘inevitability’.
Go well with the dreaming man. 20% GDP growth claims in my view undermine the credibility of the tech movement and there are coming political battles for which we dearly need that credibility.
I’m very optimistic about the future - seemingly a lot more-so than you.
