Vaults are powerful. Anyone anywhere in the world can easily deposit into investment strategies developed by top asset managers and earn competitive yields without intermediaries, forex, or clunky procedures—in the simplest, non-custodial way, impossible in TradFi. Vaults are far superior investment vehicles compared to TradFi asset management. To a great extent, their benefits resemble those of ICOs versus IPOs. Additionally, competitive yield products are much needed in a slow market, where trading and speculation opportunities are fewer. Hence, we introduce vaults on Buidlpad at this perfect timing. The team made two mistakes in a row by ignoring common sense and jumping between extremes. First, pricing the ICO at $1 billion under these market conditions created bad optics and guaranteed community backlash. How much profit could users make from a $1 billion ICO? Second, pivoting to airdrops went to the opposite extreme. Users lack skin in the game if they don't pay, so they will dump immediately. This is why fewer projects are doing airdrops. Actually, airdrops may phase out completely soon. ICOs are a better token distribution method. What didn't make sense was the inflated valuation, not the ICO itself.
