I got a lot of flack when I first suggested two weeks ago that Beshear was not rising to this moment in a realistic presidential way.

I don't need him to call an election - but I need him to do more than write 'strongly worded letters'

-Do a press conference outside of the hospital and demand to speak with McConnell.

--If he doesn't let you, that's the conference.

--If he does, then it's about the dishonesty to the American people

-File an appointed replacement, knowing it won't stand and will be legally challenged

--Use that legal challenge to push on the Republican's change to state law on appointments as unconstitutional

--It drags out till past election time anyway blocking the Republican seat but shows you fight these antics

-Turn this into a national press story about the dishonesty of GOPs in Congress,

--how their staff are hiding his condition to draw salaries

--how they think they are above the people and not answerable to them
