The current situation works to our benefit" -Iran is playing along: it has hit Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan while refraining from striking Israel entirely -The held-in-reserve threat is the leverage: an Israeli attack kept holstered strengthens Washington's hand in reviving the strait deal, per an Israeli think tank chief -Mediators argue Israeli entry would make it impossible for the IRGC to return to peace talks The arrangement suits everyone for opposite reasons, and that's what makes it so fragile. bearish🇺🇸🇮🇷 U.S. spies are quietly admitting the war on Iran isn't working. Intelligence analysts have concluded that Washington and Tehran are stuck in an indefinite limbo between peace and war. Iran has lost commanders, air defences, and a huge chunk of its hardware. The regime is still standing. Analysts specifically flagged Tehran's staying power. The White House theory is that enough pressure eventually makes Iran flexible. Jonathan Panikoff, the former deputy national intelligence officer for the Near East, says that assessment is almost certainly incorrect and sees no good options left for the U.S. Every round of strikes was sold as the one that would force a deal.
